My folks, like most people around in the 90s, loved watching MTV Unplugged. Recently, I have found a new meaning to 'Unplugged' although it is not entirely musical.
My new love is unplugging every plug in sight. I have recently discovered the ease with which i can rip out a plug from the socket. And yes, i probably do it when the switch is on, which means it is risky and not the smartest thing to do. But then, what does one expect a one year old to do!!!! Don't get me started on the crazy things that grown ups do.
And switches are great fun too - not just electrical ones. My dad is in the middle of 'switching' jobs, my folks just 'switched' from a PC to a MAC. so why not play with switches. The best part is electric switches are everywhere, just reach out and press them and see the delightful reactions.
Switching off the TV at a crucial point when something crucial is about to happen in TV program
Switching on the TV at high volume, when my Dad is on the phone
Pressing the laptop keypads randomly and funny things happen on the screen
Changing radio channels (best in the middle of a nice song)
and changing TV channels at my whims and fancy.
Armed with my new found mobility (yes i can walk!!!) the house is my Discovery Channel and I have to locate all the plugs and switches before they get switched off
Happy Unplugging!!!
