Growing at a Feverish pace...

Last few months have been about change and growing up – developmental milestones – as grownups would say!!!
I now have more hair on my head, I can roll on the bed, sit on my bum, lift my head, and I have teeth – deciduous teeth as they are called (or milk teeth for the uninitiated). Four to be precise... I am still figuring out how to chew, but it is a great feeling to bite into anything. You should see the bite marks on my mom dad’s fingers.
Last week, I took this growing to a feverish pace, literally.
Scene: Around 2.30 in the middle of the night; Body temperature of 101.4 C;
I was sweating due to the high body temperature. My folks woke up in a sweat from stress! I had never felt so weak and tired, so much so that I had no energy even to cry. After some discussion, my folks fed me a dreadful cherry flavoured medicine, and as a logical reaction, the contents of my stomach were on the carpet. Faced with the challenge of procuring a different flavour, my folks went on a cross country road trip with me on the tow. Incidentally, the nearest 24 hour pharmacy is one of the infamous buildings of Singapore – Orchard Towers and I did get some stares from people while waiting in the car.
I have recovered completely, but I can see that the midnight fever episode kind of shook my folks. But I guess I must be kind to them. After all, it is their first time!!!!
